‘Sunshine on West Pier’

It was a beautiful afternoon and i knew this was going to make for a great subject. The composition was quite far from the main area of interest: the blue fishing boat far right. The sun was bright and beaming on the pier showing the natural colours of the stone pier walls and boats, etc. The sky was clear and water still.  Another thing that i enjoyed doing was the ramp bottom right – it brings the viewer into the painting.
