This watercolour was a labour of love for me. It was my first painting of this particular location: Portmarnock, Co. Dublin. The views were simply breath-taking. To the right you can clearly make out the outline of Ireland’s Eye. To the left is Lambay Island.. (out of view). The sky was my main target of interest here; a threathening and overhanging sky with various blues and grey tones. It all combined into a nice tapestry to make for an interesting skyline. The added figures make for some needed life on a desolate beach.
