‘Wintersun’ – Brittas Bay

This is a studio painting from Brittas Bay Co. Wicklow. On my recent visit there I previously said on a post I do most sketches on site. I believe it gives me a better association with my subject.

Here I was taken in with the lifeguard station. The feeling of fresh air on the beach and the vastness in the background made for a nice composition.
