‘Windsurfing’ Seapoint.

Windsurfing from Seapoint, Monkstown. Co. Dublin.

This was painted on site, or plein-air. I wanted to capture the essence and windy conditions of the whole scene. This is indicated in the windsurfers: hence the title.

The clouds was the star of the show. The background I wanted to keep subtle and low-key.

Colours play a big part, as I wanted to exaggerate the sea’s hue a little for the viewer’s eye.
