‘Up for Repairs’ *SOLD*

Up for Repairs: Watercolour painting. This painting is one of my latest entries to my Arklow. Co. Wicklow excursions.

I wanted to put detail into this work as I thought it deserved it. It shows a lot of the details of the fishing vessel, which was probably in need of re-painting and up for repairs..(hence the title).

The red colour of the vessel brings the viewer’s attention to the main attraction: the Trawler/fishing boat. All the surrounding areas of the painting brings unity and interest to the overall experience.

I have shown the original photo and on-site sketch of my plan, and if you look closer, you’ll see I’ve omitted things that don’t do much for the work, I felt didn’t need to be in the frame.
