‘Coffee Time’ (Great South Wall)

This watercolour was a treat to paint. I’ve got a great affinity for this part of Dublin City. There is so much to see when you really go looking for it. The Great South Wall at Dublin Port is a wide-open expansive area full of wonderful views and lots of nature to view. Here I saw this picturesque perspective which I was thinking is: ‘gonna make for a perfect painting’. The woman ordering coffee is the area of interest. The silhouettes and backdrop was what I was after. I did an ‘On-Spot- Sketch’ which you can view here. I always do a detailed sketch if possible, or a simple watercolour.
