This is a sketch i did a few days ago. I enjoyed doing this little sketch from the harbour walls in the light breezy and mild afternoon. There’s something gratifying about simple sketches that gives a depth and strength that a ‘studio painting’ just doesn’t achieve. I put so much thought and energy into these sketches. Something my eye that wants the viewer to see – raw and truthful feelings of the beauty in the landscape before me. The water in this work is what i really wanted to study, the rest is secondary, but, just as meaningful to knit it all together….hopefully!
