I enjoyed painting this sketch. It was an: on the spur moment. The scene was a joy to watch. Finally real sunshine that feels like summer, and i’ve tried to emulate it here..especially with the various blues; my favourite been #cerulean #blue #colbalt #blue beautiful light blue’s that works so well for summer skies and sea’s. The harbour was buzzing with life: sail boats adorned the water, and plenty of people out sun bathing on the harbour walls, dogs panting in the shade and kids sinking their lips into 99′ ice creams – such a joy from the previous week! This is a sketch, i ‘ll hopefully do a bigger and more detailed study soon.
