Had great fun sketching this scene from New York City. A watercolour sketch on cartridge paper..(pretty tough paper taken this paint!) I didn’t get a chance to put on the actual watercolour over the sketch work till recently – I couldn’t be bothered, or just too lazy. Did i google this photo…No, I stood in the middle of road and took a quick few photo’s of this cab, it was just a brief moment for red lights to go green! The guy thought i must have been a nut job as i momentarily stood still looking directly towards him. PS: The yellow ‘colour’ i find on these cabs vary A LOT in tone – really interesting.
