This is a Plein-Air painting of a little beach not far from Brittas Bay Co. Wicklow. Magherabeg is the name of this tiny cove. A stunning private beach, unfortunately, I couldn’t access it from the road.
I did have a birdseye view from a hilltop looking down. I had to paint it. I began to do a preliminary sketch and immediately began to paint it before the sun went down.
The beautiful warm colours of the setting sun reflected lovely warm colours off the cliff head and hills.
