‘Summer Grazing’ Pheonix Park

‘Summer Grazing’ with fallow deer in Pheonix Park. Co. Dublin.

I always have loved painting & sketching parks, etc. Here is no exception. The Pheonix Park right next to Dublin’s city centre is the largest park in Europe. It’s bustling with all sorts of wildlife along with plenty of flora & fauna.

I picked this particular spot. In the background, you’ll see Aras an Uachtarain – (The Irish Presidents Residents during office).

Deer is a key feature in this versatile park, and fallow deer especially. These deer thrive in our ever-changing weather.

I deliberately spaced the deer in a specific way for the viewer and to break up the monotony. the white spots on the younger deer I wanted to pop out add some more attraction.
