Stormy Sky, Motor Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire.

A watercolour study of a rough sea and sky. The sea was saturated in a unique turquoise colour…you’d think it was the Caribbean ocean! Probably the sketch doesn’t do justice to the scene as i saw it.

It just gives you a flavour of what i saw and for me: i remember it so well when i go back to my sketches. Some times i don’t have to write notes….’a picture tells a thousand words’. The pier walls were much darker than here, so the boats colours stood out like neon lights. How the weather can effect the landscape in regards to colour form always fascinates me.

(This sketch study is for sale: €40 unframed)
