‘Friday’s Catch’

Everytime i come back to this location i never seem to tire of painting/sketching from here. It’s my ‘little corner’. I know every nook and cranny it seems. This particular painting i enjoyed – it’s loose in it’s approach and brushwork. I love the fact that i feel more confident in my brush work and evolving style. The colours over- are more intentionally vivid, something i’ve really strived for many years. The colourful line of boats all into unload their catch for the day against a threathening skyline, as i try to evoke a typical Irish landscape.
